Hi guys! Do you listen to podcasts? In the last couple of years, I became quite a junkie. I’m currently looking for recommendations, particularly for meditation podcasts. Any suggestions will be welcomed!
In the meantime, these are my top five favourite podcasts:
“The podcast about the secret and/or forgotten history of Hollywood’s first century”. This podcast was created and is lovely written, produced and narrated by Karina Longwort (an American film critic, author, and journalist). I could talk about this podcast for ages. It has gotten my though tough nights nursing my baby. It has helped me unwind. It has entertained me. But it also has taught me a lot about the history of American cinema and last century’s American history. Every season gets better and better. If I had to chose one… well, I simply couldn’t! The Jane and Jean season was excellent. The Manson series was thrilling and the star wars season (particularly the episode on Hedy Lamarr) was eye-opening. I heard all a couple of times.
The second podcast is also about cinema, which is funny because I don’t watch that many movies. However, this podcast is like being with some friends watching your favourite childhood movies and realizing how awkward they were (for the most part). The main attractive of this podcast for me is the relationship between the two hosts, Mitchell Davis and Jack Ferry. Their comments are hilarious, and their reactions are so over the top that you can’t help but laugh. The episodes are quite long, about an hour. I recommend this podcast to anyone going through a rough time, particularly to those who just moved to a different city or country and find it difficult to make friends. This podcast will certainly make you laugh.
The description of this podcast reads: “The team at Stanford eCorner believes in the powerful combination of evidence and imagination. We share original stories from informed leaders in academia and industry that focus on innovation, startups, culture, and strategy. The goal: empower you to bring bold ideas to life.” And it delivers, after listening to any of its episodes you feel energized, capable of achieving any endeavour. I highly recommend this to anyone thinking about entrepreneurship.
This podcast covers science and technology, covering a lot of different subjects from cybersecurity, environment, book recommendations. It’s a very prolific show with almost one thousand five hundred episodes. A great choice for flu season! Ha! You didn’t see that one coming. Still, it’s an entertaining and educative podcast that will get you through your cold, stomach flu and similar winter annoyances.
So, if you are new on my blog you might not know that I’m a Spanish living in Germany. Acquiring a very good level of German is one of my priorities and this podcast helps me enormously. On their webpage, www.dw.com you can find materials and news related to their podcasts.
Well, that’s it. I hope I helped anyone looking for new podcasts to listen to.
Do you already listen to any of these?
